Vintage shopping and flea markets in Turin: an itinerary from Via Po to the Balon
Second-hand clothes, vintage finds and cultural walks: from Via Montebello to the arcades of Via Po and the Balon market.
01
A vintage base beneath the Mole
The period furnishings and three rooms at Zarathustra are a fitting backdrop for a vintage-themed trip. From Via Montebello, you can head out shopping and return for a rest between stops.
The Mole Antonelliana and the Museo Nazionale del Cinema (National Museum of Cinema) are on the same street, at number 20. Include the museum in your plans: cinema, set design and the history of images offer another perspective on the objects and styles of the past.
- Plan museum admission and shopping stops separately.
- Ask Kamen about room availability for your dates.
02
Via Po: arcades and second-hand clothes
Via Po is a natural first stop if you are setting off from Via Montebello. Humana Vintage lists a shop at Via Po 39: check the official website to confirm the address and opening hours before visiting.
Stroll beneath the arcades without too rigid a list: browse the windows of independent shops, stop for a coffee and take your time comparing clothes and accessories. Vintage stock changes constantly.
- Check sizes, condition and exchange policies before buying.
- Bring a reusable bag and comfortable shoes.
03
Borgo Dora and the Balon: choosing the right day
The Balon is Borgo Dora’s flea market. The association’s calendar lists Saturday for the Balon and the second Sunday of the month for the Gran Balon. Always check the latest calendar before planning your trip.
Bottega d’Arte Minerva, at Via Borgo Dora 33D, offers original posters, film posters and period furnishings. It is a stop worth considering if you enjoy cinema and graphic design as well as clothing.
The route from Via Po to Borgo Dora involves a longer walk through the city centre: check the map and consider transport options according to your group’s needs. Return to the house for a break before an aperitivo.
- Agree on a meeting point at the market.
- To book, send Kamen your dates, the number of guests and your preferred rooms.
Your first cultural stop, on Via Montebello
The Mole Antonelliana and Museo Nazionale del Cinema (National Cinema Museum), at Via Montebello 20, are just steps from Zarathustra: a cultural visit to plan for your group. Check tickets, opening hours and panoramic lift access on the museum website.
