Auditorium RAI and music in Turin: a base for musicians and audiences
The Auditorium RAI Arturo Toscanini is on Via Rossini, close to the Via Montebello area. It is home to the RAI National Symphony Orchestra and one of the city's key music venues.
01
Planning your concert and stay
Tickets and up-to-date information are available through official RAI channels. Check opening times, ticket collection arrangements and admission procedures. For performers, the call times and instructions from the organisers are the definitive guide.
The central location also puts Teatro Regio and the Conservatory within walking distance or a short journey across town, depending on the venue. MITO SettembreMusica uses several locations, so check each event individually.
- Check the venue printed on your ticket.
- For bulky instruments, arrange transport and storage with the organisers.
- Consult GTT for events outside the centre.
02
Travelling as an ensemble
A small ensemble should clarify bed arrangements, arrivals and luggage before booking. Spacious rooms make it easier to allocate sleeping arrangements, but they are not music rehearsal rooms. Schedules and noise levels must respect daily life in the house.
WiFi, breakfast and a guest kitchen make everyday routines easier. Anyone with an early rehearsal can get ready without making the whole group head out at the same time.
03
A Turin to listen to
The music calendar changes throughout the year. The Auditorium RAI, Regio, Conservatory and festivals publish their own programmes. Cross-checking dates before booking lets you plan a weekend with several concerts.
Between events, the house offers a pleasant contrast: period furniture, a terrace overlooking the Mole Antonelliana and a walk along the river.
Your first cultural stop, on Via Montebello
The Mole Antonelliana and Museo Nazionale del Cinema (National Cinema Museum), at Via Montebello 20, are just steps from Zarathustra: a cultural visit to plan for your group. Check tickets, opening hours and panoramic lift access on the museum website.
