Turin Book Fair: staying as a group in the city centre
The Book Fair takes place at Lingotto, outside the historic centre. Staying on Via Montebello means taking public transport to the fair and returning in the evening to the most walkable part of Turin.
01
Lingotto and the centre move at different paces
The fair's official programme lists pavilions, rooms and times. The journey from Via Montebello requires public transport, so allow extra time, especially during the busiest hours.
Staying in the centre has an advantage after the fair closes: events, bookshops, restaurants and walks do not require another trip out to the outskirts. Check the current route on GTT.
- Download the programme and note the pavilion and room.
- Choose a meeting point both inside and outside Lingotto.
- Avoid overly tight schedules between events.
02
For authors, publishers and reading groups
A group can split up for presentations and return to the same base. Spacious rooms are helpful for those travelling with colleagues or friends. Ask in advance about boxes of books, display stands or professional materials: the house is not a trade fair warehouse.
Breakfast and the kitchen make it easier to get going. Anyone with an early event can make their own arrangements without waiting for the whole group.
03
Planning a stay beyond the fair
Add just one cultural visit each day. The Mole, the Cinema Museum and Teatro Regio are natural choices from the area around Zarathustra. An overpacked schedule leaves little room for unexpected encounters, often the best part of the fair.
Let Kamen know your dates as soon as they are confirmed. Demand is high during major event weeks, but availability and terms must always be confirmed directly.
Your first cultural stop, on Via Montebello
The Mole Antonelliana and Museo Nazionale del Cinema (National Cinema Museum), at Via Montebello 20, are just steps from Zarathustra: a cultural visit to plan for your group. Check tickets, opening hours and panoramic lift access on the museum website.
