Turin’s cultural calendar: cinema, theatre, music and books
Turin’s cultural seasons overlap. Theatre and music span many months, while cinema, books and festivals draw crowds at specific times. This guide helps you find the right sources without setting dates that change every year.
01
Autumn: cinema and music
MITO SettembreMusica brings several venues to life in September. The Torino Film Festival usually takes place later in autumn. Programmes, accreditation arrangements and venues change: check the official websites before booking transport and accommodation.
Zarathustra is close to several cultural venues in the city centre. For events spread across the city, note each venue and check GTT.
- Sign up for updates from the event you are interested in.
- Check the venue as well as the title.
- Book only once the official dates have been confirmed.
02
Winter and spring: performance seasons and books
Teatro Regio, Teatro Stabile and the RAI Orchestra continue with their own schedules. Spring brings the Book Fair to Lingotto, with events also taking place across the city.
A stay of several nights lets you combine a main event with a museum visit and time in the historic centre. For groups, it is best to choose just one priority each day.
03
Summer: exhibitions and a city to explore
Museums and summer event programmes keep the city lively, but opening hours and closures may change. The Turismo Torino calendar lists many events; the organiser’s page remains the source for tickets and admission information.
The terrace and riverside walks become part of your stay. Ask Kamen for information about the house, then always check event details with the organisers.
Your first cultural stop, on Via Montebello
The Mole Antonelliana and Museo Nazionale del Cinema (National Cinema Museum), at Via Montebello 20, are just steps from Zarathustra: a cultural visit to plan for your group. Check tickets, opening hours and panoramic lift access on the museum website.
