Turin for actors and theatre companies: Carignano, Gobetti and Teatro Stabile
Teatro Stabile di Torino brings several venues to life. Carignano and Gobetti are in the centre, in an area easily reached from Via Montebello. Read programmes and venue details carefully, as a single season spans different locations.
01
Two theatres, two addresses
Teatro Carignano is in Piazza Carignano. The Gobetti is on Via Rossini. The Teatro Stabile website lists contact details and directions for each venue. Before setting off, match each production to its theatre.
For a touring company, what matters is technical access and the call times provided by the production team. For audiences, it is the box office and auditorium opening times. These are different routes, even when the building is the same.
- Share the link to the correct venue with your group.
- Keep call times separate from performance times.
- Plan for costumes or bulky luggage.
02
A home for the group
Staying together makes coordination easier, especially when there are several performances. Spacious rooms allow flexible bed arrangements. The kitchen and breakfast help on days with tight schedules.
Zarathustra is accommodation, not a rehearsal space. Read-throughs, meetings or vocal exercises require authorised venues and suitable arrangements. In the house, guests' and neighbours' rest is protected.
03
Seeing theatre while working in theatre
A free evening can be a chance to discover Turin's theatre scene. The Stabile's programme includes drama and contemporary projects, while other theatres in the centre offer further choice.
Only book after checking your work schedule. If rehearsals change, a flexible ticket or a short visit to the neighbourhood may be a safer choice.
Your first cultural stop, on Via Montebello
The Mole Antonelliana and Museo Nazionale del Cinema (National Cinema Museum), at Via Montebello 20, are just steps from Zarathustra: a cultural visit to plan for your group. Check tickets, opening hours and panoramic lift access on the museum website.
